These are 3 games that are on my Steam wishlist, and I just haven’t had time to play them. I plan to get to them eventually, but there are just so many games and so little time to play as an adult — because “bills” need to be paid.
I’m sorry, I thought this was America!
Anyway, let’s get to it.
Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun
This “boomer shooter” was released in May of 2023 and is a fast-paced FPS set in the Warhammer universe. You play as a Space Marine with a full arsenal at your disposal. If you’re looking for a comparison, it’s basically Doom 64 made in 2023 — and it’s awesome. The perfect game if you want to turn off your brain and just do some blasting.
The Lord of the Rings: Return to Moria
As the title gives away, the setting is the halls of Moria from The Lord of the Rings. It was first released in August of 2024. You play as a dwarf in this open-world survival crafting game. You can mine, loot, craft — all the stuff you’d expect. I’m a big Lord of the Rings fan, so I’ll get around to this one eventually.
Sonic Adventure 2
This one’s on my list for nostalgic reasons. I remember playing it on the GameCube back in the day. SEGA did a great job making you feel like you were doing a lot, even when you were just moving forward fast. Anyone who played this game knows the best part was the Chao Garden, where you raised and leveled your Chao with EXP from missions.
