Looking for great games that won’t break the bank? I’ve rounded up 5 of the best PC games under $5 that are actually worth your time. These affordable picks deliver way more fun than their price tag suggests.
Chained Together – $4.99

Chained Together is a single-player and co-op platformer. Although I would highly recommend playing this co-op, you can play with up to 3 other players at the same time. The goal is not to fall and escape the depths of hell. Happy jumping!
Plants vs. Zombies GOTY Edition – $4.99

This masterpiece was released in 2009 and holds an overwhelmingly positive review with 127,662 reviews on Steam as of writing this. Plants vs. Zombies is a tower defense strategy game. There are 5 game modes and 50 levels of adventure mode. Also, 26 types of zombies to fight off. This game packs a punch with a price tag of $4.99.
Vampire Survivors – $4.99

At $4.99, Vampire Survivors is a steal. This much fun for so little should be criminal. This game is a roguelike with pixel graphics that starts off slow and very simple. As you delve deeper, you quickly realize there’s more than meets the eye here. Fast forward 6 hours later — you’re late for work or school. Well worth it though…
A Building Full of Cats – $1.99

You’ve probably heard about the other games on this list, but this one is more obscure. A Building Full of Cats is a hidden object finder game like Where’s Waldo. It has a very nice hand-drawn aesthetic. It’s hard to go wrong with this, as it’s only $1.99 and offers a very relaxing experience.
DOOM 64 – $4.99

Next up, with quite a lot of similarities to A Building Full of Cats, we’ve got DOOM 64. Rip and tear your way through the demons who are invading Earth. Smash your enemies down to a bloody pulp and save Earth in the retro classic DOOM 64.
That’s five games under $5 that I think are worth your time. You don’t need to spend a lot to have fun, and these games show that.
If there’s a cheap game you like that I didn’t mention, let me know.
